M5A1 Stuart VI: Essentially an M5 chassis with the larger turret first introduced on the M3A3. Production began in early 1943, totaling 6,810 units. Known as the Stuart VI in British, Canadian, and Polish service, it saw various modifications and roles, including the Stuart Recce.

M8 75mm Howitzer Motor Carriage (HMC): Based on the M5 chassis, the M8 HMC was designed to provide indirect fire support for armored reconnaissance units.
