M5A1 Stuart VI: Essentially an M5 chassis with the larger turret first introduced on the M3A3. Production began in early 1943, totaling 6,810 units. By mid-1944, it became the main light tank for the US Army and was widely used by other Allied forces, including the US Marines, Britain, Canada, Poland, and France. Known as the Stuart VI in British, Canadian, and Polish service, it saw various modifications and roles, including the Stuart Recce.
M8 75mm Howitzer Motor Carriage (HMC): Based on the M5 chassis, the M8 HMC was designed to provide indirect fire support for armored reconnaissance units. Production spanned from September 1942 to January 1944, with 1,778 units built. It served with the US Army and Free French forces in Italy and Northwest Europe, as well as in the Pacific. Post-WWII, it continued service with the French Expeditionary Force in Vietnam and Algeria.
